Where Every Cut Carries a Legacy

Father and Son’s Barbershop isn’t just a place to get a fresh cut — it’s a living tribute to a family’s journey through grief, healing, faith, and love.

Founded by Raymond Pasi, the shop was born from a deeply personal story. While serving his mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Raymond received two devastating calls from home — one informing him of the loss of his sister and her newborn baby, and another just a month later sharing that his older brother had been murdered. Despite unimaginable grief, Raymond leaned into his calling and remembered a simple truth: when you use your talents to glorify God, blessings will follow.

Though he had never picked up clippers growing up — his father encouraged him to chase rugby instead — Raymond discovered the gift of barbering during his mission. He believes it was taught not by man, but through the power of the Holy Ghost. Every haircut became more than a service; it became a way to bring light to others while helping him cope with the pain in his heart. The smiles he created helped carry him through his darkest days.

When Raymond’s mission ended, his late father surprised him with a fully renovated barbershop — a gift and an opportunity to build a life for himself. With love and vision, his father prepared the space and said, “I want you to be able to take care of yourself. I don’t want to look from the other side and see your shop go out of business.” Those words remain Raymond’s fuel on the hardest days.

Originally named Ray’s Fade, the shop was later renamed Father and Son’s Barbershop — in a moment of deep reflection and heartbreak, Raymond felt moved to rename it. One day, while lying beside his late father’s grave, wishing he could hear his voice again, a powerful feeling came over him to honor the man who set the foundation for his future — and Father and Son’s Barbershop was born. The name represents not just Raymond  but his late father and his late brother Harry, who also worked in the shop to provide for his own family.

The mural outside the barbershop featuring both his father and brother is a powerful reminder: this shop is built on sacrifice, love, and the legacy of family and a visual reminder that this barbershop stands on their shoulders.

Since its humble beginnings in 2017, Father and Son’s Barbershop has grown into more than a grooming space — it's a community hub. Raymond, now a father and husband, runs the shop alongside his wife, who brings her own gift of hair and makeup artistry. Together, they’ve transformed the barbershop into a multi-service experience, even adding an ice cream and dessert bar so families can enjoy their time while waiting or simply treat themselves.

From painting the shop walls as a teen to now running a thriving business, Raymond has always carried a heart for people. In the early days, he’d sleep in the shop and serve clients with joy, often giving the money he made to his older brother or helping customers in need — because he knows what it’s like to hit rock bottom. That spirit remains. The shop still supports others, selling their goods or offering kindness when needed.

From serving local celebrities to setting and crushing small goals, his vision has expanded — but his purpose remains the same: to honor the sacrifices of his father, the legacy of his brother, and to create something his own children can one day be proud of.

Every dollar earned is poured back into the business, not for status, but as a gesture of gratitude — to honor his father’s vision and ensure the doors stay open for future generations. Everything Raymond does — every clip, every fade, every improvement — is his way of saying:

“Thank you, Dad. I hope you see me from the other side.”

So when people ask, “Who’s the father and who’s the son?” — the answer is layered with love. The Father is Raymond’s late father ,the Son is Raymond’s late brother and everyone who walks through the doors becomes part of that story — a story of resilience, family, and faith.

Welcome to Father and Son’s Barbershop.
